Has anyone ever kept these before? We just got one from a saltwaterfish.com order - I acclimated him and put him in the tank, came back in the room about 5 minutes later and he is nowhere to be seen. This guy is pretty darn big, like a good 3 inches from end to end, and I'm amazed that he vanished this fast.
Do they bury themselves in the sand like regular nassarius until they smell food? I waited awhile and dropped in some flakes to see if I could entice him out of his hiding spot, but no luck...
Just curious where the big guy went, that's all! Very cool looking snail by the way in case anyone has never seen them. I'll try to get a picture of him if he ever comes back out...
