Looking amazing! I admire your restraint in leaving negative space to keep the artistic aspect of the reef!

Thank you! When people ask what's the hardest part about keeping my tank, I tell them that! Leaving the negative space alone and not trying to squeeze another colony somewhere.

Amazing tank, even moreso given that you don't do water changes. I'm sorry if I missed it, but can you tell us what you keep your water parameters at? Also, do you only feed frozen food or do you feed a mixture of things? Finally, do you blast the rocks at all or rely only on your water movement to do that? Andrew

Don't know why I didn't watch this on arc. Amazing Ty! Truly amazing!

Amazing tank, I love the thought of no water changes. What does your cuc consist of? And how deep is your sand bed?

Thank you! My CUC is pretty limited and consists of 5 tuxedo urchins, a couple of nassarius snails, a few emerald crabs, a pink and black sea cucumber, a few large zebra turbo snails, and my horde of tangs/angels.

My sandbed is in the gray area, not shallow, and not deep, at around 3-4". I know it's supposedly "no man's land" to be in between but it hasn't faulted me in this system or my last system for 3 years/piece.

Appreciate it! Just regular parameters most keep theirs at:

Sal - 1.025
Temp - 80-81 degrees F
Ca - 420 ppm
Alk - 7.8-8.0 dKh
Mg - 1500 ppm (this I like to keep higher)
PO4 - 0.03 ppm
NO3 - 5-10 ppm
K - 410 ppm
I2 - 0.09 ppm

I feed frozen mysis, bloodworms, LRS, Rods, live blackworms, NLS pellets (via autofeeder), Ocean Nutrition flakes, and tons of nori. I've never blasted my rocks ever, though I would be inclined to say it probably helps. I'm just lazy. I don't remove detritus from my sump ever either or use filter socks. Detritus isn't as evil as it's reputation makes it.

Thanks! Who is this from ARC? I don't recognize the screenname. Hello fellow Austinite!

So, after seeing another reefer modify his Ocean Revive lights, I figured I'd try it myself.

What was the goal? To remove all the cool white 10k LED diodes and replace them with warm white 3.5k diodes. Also removed the useless red and green diodes and replaced them with 3.5k diodes as well.

Why? Better usable spectrum of light and to help fix the Windex look I get from my LEDs as they are too focused on the blues/whites. I missed the warmer colors I'd get (red/orange/yellow) like when I had my MHs.

While it's too early to call a success yet, my purples have been popping, my reds look marginally better, some of my green acros have a hint of yellow in them now, and all together, it looks more like my old MH bulbs with a fuller spectrum.

Bonus... I learned how to solder! [emoji106]

I really enjoyed your video. Such a beautiful tank! I love your aquascape and your choice of fish. Very nice!

He's an updated video I took last night with the new warm white LED diodes (3.5k) I swapped into my Ocean Revive fixtures to replace all 10k and red/green diodes. I love the warm, natural look!

Video shot a couple days before the diode switch for comparison.
