Good Morning Everyone!

This is my attempt to start a thread with a focus of healthy fish, especially those that are hard to find (deepwater, remote locations, etc.) or difficult to adapt to captive life. Lets see some pictures of these fish.

Please Be Sure to Answer the Following Questions:

- How long have you had the fish?
-Where you got the fish from?
-Aquarium size?
-Tank Mates?
-What foods do you feed?
-How often do you feed?

I will post a fish here in about 20 min. Let's GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this little boy and girl (;)) for about 6 months or longer. I got one from Aqua Touch in AZ, and the other I got from a private source. They started out separated in a 30 gallon solana QT. I left the DT fallow for 12 weeks, and hit the little angels with prazi and cupramine. Currently they are alone in the DT, but they will have a few new P. aya and C. septentrionalis buddies in the next few weeks. Plus there are a few other angels and butterflies that I am working on obtaining.
I feed these fish between 5 and 8 times per day, with the following foods:

Spectrum Thera-A Pellet
Spirulina Flakes
Rods Food
Rods Food H
Salmon, Prawns, Clam, Oyster, Grouper and scallop mixed with vitamins and such.

But I must say that their favorite food by far is the pellet. They go crazy over it.

My little babies are in my Elos 120 (92 gallons). Water temp, winter 68, summer 70-72

Here is my Clown Tang, typically thought to be difficult to adjust to captive living.

I've had it for over a year, the reefer I got it from had it for a few years as well.

My tank is a 180 Mixed Reef, it's tank mates are a handful of other tangs, some chromis, gobies, clowns and angels (1 dwarf, 1 large).

The diet I feed is a homemade mix that I stink my kitchen up with every few months, it contains Mysis, Brine, Krill, Emerald Entree, plankton, clams, muscles, squid, fish, vitamin and amino acid supplements, nori, and garlic.

I feed nori every day or two, and feed about 3 normal sized cubes of my food daily.

I got this fish for Megan about two years or more ago. I got him from the DD and this has been a super healthy outgoing fish. He is in her Elos Mini (20g) with a A. percula, Blue Headed Blenny, and Kaudern's Cardinal. He eats EXCLUSIVELY spirulina flake food. He will eat nothing else, but he is fat and has good color, so I am not worrying too much. I feed twice per day for this tank. Water temp 74.

Very Nice Chris!

I have always wanted a clown, but I have never had a tank large enough for me to be comfortable putting one in there.

I figure by the time it outgrows my 6' tank it'll be right about time for the 8'er to move in

It's definitely an active fish - always on the move and a bit of an a$$ - especially when it's biting my hand.

Great fish!! Been looking to keep Bandit.
Mind to share your QT process?
I read from the medication instructions that Prazi and Cupramine are advised not to mix with other medication. Do you mix both together in your QT treatment?
What is your typical regime? Especially for this pair of Bandits :)

Thanks!

I have had the largest Bandit for over a year and was caught by Rob Lower(scubarob). The two other Bandits I have for 3 months and were caught by Matthew Ross (RGBMatt). The Moorish Idol was shipped via Les from WetPets Hawaii. I also have some wrasse(Trio of Flames, pair of Rhomboids, and pair of Lineatus) in QT currently. Les caught the flames himself and acquired the other wrasse from a HI wholesaler. (I will snap some pics once out of QT). The fish are kept in a 200 gallon Deep Dimension mixed reef with a ton of filtration and water movement. I try to feed 2-3 times a day. All the fish love NLS pellets, PE mysis, spirulina brine, small mysis, frozen mussel, chopped clam, Rod's food, and sheets of purple Nori.

Zaiqiu- I kept these fish in a 30 gallon cube tank. For the first month or so I kept them divided to reduce any aggression. When I got the fish the smaller of the two was almost 2" and the larger was about 2.25". Both of these fish were very healthy from the start, and I feel as though that is one of the most important aspects of purchasing these angels. After about 20 minutes out of the bag both fish accepted pellet food. I monitored both fish for about two weeks then removed the divider. WWIII broke loose, and I had to divide them once more. After about a month of letting them out and then shutting them up, they decided to get along. After the stress of pairing was over I dosed the tank with PraziPro. I ran this for twice the recommended time, even though I saw no signs of parasites. After this treatment I allowed the fish to go about a week without meds and introduced the Cupramine. After a long treatment with the copper I introduced them into the DT.

Very awesome Bandits! I have a very fat sohal and naso. in with them are a Bi-color angel, a true black onyx clown and a pink spot sleeper goby. I aquired the sohal and naso from the same person who was getting out.

A thread with 5 bandit angels...this already is the best thread of the week Michael! Wish I had some photos to share. My fish are all camera shy, in the sense that I never get a photo in focus. Lol

Got these fish already trained to frozen from DD about 2-3 months ago. They're in a 75 gallon mixed reef with other docile fish (the ones in my sig.). They eat everything including flake and pellets. As many will know, they are considered obligate coralivores in nature.

I feed the tank twice daily with the flow off for about 1/2 hour each time.

My Blueface Angel and Rock Beauty Angel. Had the Blueface for 3.5 years, the Rock Beauty will be 2 years in my care in November. The pics are during their transfer into the big tank.

This is my banded pipe I've had for about a year. Eats roe and cyclops. Feed twice daily. Got it from my best local LFS. Tankmates are the fish in my sig.

Peace.

Dats a FAT blueface! love it!!! also like that Rock beauty. I just got a tank raised Bi-color angel from my LFS. said it was bred by Sustainable Aquatics here in TN!. it is already eating my flake and frozen offerings after less than 48 hrs.

the Sohal I have has a definitely visible belly! very fat and happy. the Naso is a plumper too. hard to tell in those photos. ill try to take some end shots as they swim toward me tonight. oh, I forgot. they chow on 1/2 nori sheet daily and love their Formula2 flake (green lid) I have had veyr good success with plump tags and ZERO HLLE from this food. I will also feed frozen mysis, brine, cyclopeze and am abuot ot start making my own frozen concoction from the seafood market.

I bought these guys a few months ago from DD. They have more than doubled in size and weight . They are little piggies.

In my 65g tank I had a sixline that was the fattest wrasse I had ever seen. I think he sank one night and couldn't get up.
