Fat and Healthy Fish

And while not a difficult fish, it sure is fat :)

Talbot's damsel.

Are you feeding it Hamburgers with Pepsi? lol :p

I dont think that the Talbots Damsel is obese. I think that this is a fish in prime spawning condition.

Keep the pictures coming.

Great shots, Mark!

It's funny how we all marvel at how large that damsel is, and if we saw a person that large we'd say, "wow, they really need gastric bypass surgery before they kill themselves!"

I guess it's very different however comparing humans (who most likely become that large eating cheeseburgers and drinking sugary drinks) and fish (who most likely become that large eating a varied diet of foods that are good for them).

Anyway, sorry for the digression! It is great to see so many healthy fish on this page!

It's awesome to see so much fat and healthy fish.
But there are some fish in this thread that are simply obese e.a the Talbot's damsel (no offence toddtrex) and that is properly not a good thing either.
IMHO

It isn't obese -- I can't stop it from eating, and what should I do -- starve the other fish?

Coke actually. ;)

I have thought that -- since it looks similar to when my clowns are ready. But, it has looked that way for about 6 months now. Though the other one in the tank is about half the size -- "girth" wise --- so I don't know.

Yeah, it eats; Prime Reef, LifeLine's herbivore mix, Rod's food (( blue, red, and green label )) and Spectrum pellets.

I had a few Talbot Damsel's when I had my big tank, they are the nicest Damsels there is IMO.

For the most part it is, but like to try to bug my clown, but that doesn't work too well when it has an 18" S. Haddoni to hide in.

That fish is this same one on the left. Yes I know he used to be yellow. He has been spawning for years, I don't remember how many.

This bluestripped pipefish is about 1 1/2" long and is also part of a breeding pair, he is about 3 years old.
All my fish get live blackworms and new born brine shrimp every day along with fresh clam, mysis or other things.
