Fathead anthias

So I pick up 2 Fatheads 2 days ago. My LFS let me know when they would be in so I got them before he acclimated them. I put them in 2 days ago and have only seen 1 since. Hopefully, 1 is just hiding and is not crab meat. The other is very shy and barely comes out. What can I feed him? Been trying assorted frozen foods including mysis w/no luck. Should I try live brine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think that you should try live brine and after a couple days add a little bit of mysis mixed w/the live brine and slowly add more mysis to the mix.

good luck. very lovely fish.

I have had these guys in various tanks, an my experience is that they do better kept by themselves. I have tried groups before, the last one 6 in a 290, and they picked each other off. You may be seeing the dominant one forcing the other one into hiding, I would suggest removing one (easier said that done, I know).
As for feeding them, Arctic-pods from Reed are great for zooplankton feeding fish, I use them for all types of anthias.

Thanks both for your responses. Removing the second may be a moot point, still cant find the second one. Thanks!
