Fauna Marin ZeoLith vs. Prodibio

So im planning a new tank 90% sps. I have had some good success with Prodibio using Bioptim and BioDigest and reef booster. I recently did some reading about the Fauna Marin Zeolith system and it seemed interesting and easier than the full blown Zeovit system.

Was wondering if people are using either system and can attest to its ease and results in their SPS dom. tank. please list drawbacks of the Fauna Marin system if you have some to share thanks.

I've been doing biodigest biotim with vodka for About 4 weeks with good results so far I like prodibio

how do you supplement the prodibio with vodka, ive heard of this to make a more diverse biological makeup but didnt know how to go about it. Do you think it would be possible with vinegar as well?

I just follow the vodka/vinegar dosing article or do a search on here and add prodibio along with the vodka I have a large tank with a lot of fish and high bio load that's why I'm doing both for now vinegar will work as we'll a lot of guys do just biodigest and leave out the biotim because biotim is a carbon source but only dosed weekly and biweekly

You guys really got me looking into the Prodibio...

Seeing the ReefBooster, reading reviews that people are noticing amazing results within days.

Also thinking about ordering Bioptim and Biodigest. Running an SPS dominated tank with a refuge. Should I take out my chaeto and macro algae do you think if I'm going to be running these products?

I've been running Bioptim and Biodigest (better deal then buying bioclean) for about 4 months on my 300 gallon tank (500 gallon total volume). Results have been amazing. My nitrates and phosphates have all stayed at zero or close to it. I was able to pull my GFO offline after month 2 with no ill effect. I haven't really seen results with ReefBooster so I think I will stop dosing once I run out.

You won't need the chaeto and macro algae unless you use it to feed your fish. BTW, for the last month I have actually started dosing half the amount of Biodigest with no ill effects. My rationale was that the bacteria is in the tank so it shouldn't take much to keep bacteria diverse so half the dose should work and it has. Hope that helps.

How're your SPS resulting from such a clean tank?

i think with the new tank im going to go with something that has worked for me in the past which would be the prodibio. I never really got to the point where I could take my GFO offline but thats probably because i like to feed my fish a lot. I did have the most growth with this method of carbon dosing, and it is very easy.

Vodka to me needs to be pretty precise and you can still use vodka or vinegar while using prodibio so it seems like a no brainer. Biopellets to me are great for nitrates but i also do large water changes so I dont know which is more effective. I just dont like the red slime i get from them from time to time. I think prodibio is a no brainer.
