The slowest growing favia in the history of LPS

FireandIcefavia.jpg

WOW! That is a gem Mark, really nice frag! As far as it being a slower grower I have a different favites I got from Ian several months ago that has shown no signs of growth, so I can attest to some favites being painfully slow growers :(

The unfortunate thing here is no frags anytime in the foreseeable future. <Beep>! Oh well..
nUgZ: Whatever it is, its really unique!

Do you mean the purple Favia nUgZ has? That would be sweet! But its too small for my tank, because of the clownfish hazard!:(

Anyone have an ID on these, I was told they were called a spellbinder Favia. I cant find anything on it though. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Not sure what species, most trade names are just made to sell the coral, so no real info is included. Pretty frag, whatever it is.

SPSpirate: I forgot, you have some true gems in your tank(s)! Beautiful Favia & relatives there!

Hey Mathew...thanks for the kind words..the first one is the cosmic swirl the second is the superman prism from Ian at Reef Odyssey and the third is the Joker from Bay Corals..

You're from Kansas eh? I think I know where you got that frag ;) Does Pat ring a bell?

Anyways, I have a frag that looks identical. It's a very beautiful piece. Unfortunately, I accidently punched mine while trying to catch a wrasse, and it has been recovering from that injury instead of expanding. That was a few months back. It looks all very healthy and happy again, and I can't wait for it to start growing.

I'm at work right now, so this is the only decent picture of it that I already had uploaded to my photobucket. This was taken right after I bought it back in June or so. The two smaller heads have a full green border at this point, and the purple is slowing creeping down the rock I glued it to.

It reminds me of the LE Mayan Sun favia but with a blue mouth instead of purple. I honestly like the blue much better!

Your welcome SPSpirate. Though I think the last looks more like a Prism to me. Anyway, all are beautiful!
