I'll love it more when I can shoot good pictures the majority of the time. I'm still fighting some settings, having to make corrections on the fly. I'm used to 90% success, but with the DSLR, I'm having to learn it all over again.

I did get a DVD for the camera in the mail while I was out of town, and I'll be watching that to see what it reveals.

Some of my favorites:

Jared: Oh come on, you bribed the supplier, right? I never see pieces like that in LF Stores. Green & red is the usual bright. Geen & green the most common.
jpndave: Nice, & those were the runners up? Those would be great by themselves, but then seeing what Caddisfly got the drop on, well.. I'd take any of those myself!
Melev: Nice, I see one of those minty looking ones. great pics!

OMG! Those last few pics completely blew me away! Simply amazing everyone!
I'm green as the Hulk right now! LOL
SPSboy: Incredible doesn't begin to adequately describe those two.

Clearly we have NOT reached the end of these beauties!!!

Kev: OK, got new pics. Now I gott go suffer through uploading 'em to photobucket. Hopefully, they came out better than the first generation!.

NOW I'M DROOLING. And was that a Baby's breath near the bottom? That is a stunning collection, you should've posted earlier!

Are these moon / favia corals pretty much a stony with a thinner film of flesh?

Been interestedin one of these and have read up on it.

I have 150 DE HQI + ACTNIC in a 2 feet deep tank. Will it suffice or should I hold off? Do they get too heavy w/ age, since most of you folks are putting them on the bottom?

Thanks

I am waiting patiently Matt! time to show off all the stuff you have been hoarding behind my back LOL

Does anyone have one of those frags on the disk that has grown into at least a colony big enough to cover the disk? I ask because I now have 5 thanks to you people :). The only one I see obvious growth on is a baby's breath look alike from a local wholesaler. Another question, how long would you expect it to take (average) to cover one of those disks? One last question since I'm in the LPS section, how much total flow....total turnover per hour do you guys run? My tank is setup more for SPS so anything really fleshy has problems expanding with all the flow. My flow is around 65x per hour, seems high but with what I have it's working just fine.

Kev: LOL. Nah, just hopefully better pics of my 3. sadly, my Platygyra did not make it. I'm not putting anymore in the tank, until I'm sure I've got optimum conditions for them. Or better, a new tank!
Leishman: That is a most unsual & complexly colored Favia there. Not to mention beautiful..

Photographically I know this doesn't match up to most of what has been posted here, but I've been following this thread since it started. I've now got 10 Favias (I think) in my tank and thought I'd try to post a picture of one of mine. Hope it works, if not please forgive. Wether or not the picture works I love looking at the pictures the rest of you have posted and I love having the Favias in my tank.

Wow, it worked. You can teach an old dog new tricks. Title didn't come through but sure you all recognized this as Prism, or at least that's what I bought it for a year or so ago. Have a frag of Dragon Soul and the two sure do look a lot alike but not identical.

OK, now I'm dangerous. I learned how to post a picture. I bought this frag with the label "Toxic Pool". Seems to be a pretty fast grower.
