Favia Show Off Thread

There WAS. It seems to be offline now, but you could view every described species of coral there. The pics weren't always great, but they did have photos of it all too.

YOur favias are making me envious. I'm still recovering. The polyps extend and puff when lights are on, but the color is still recovering, along w/ the candy cane.

Just gotta keep @ it. But everyone's elses' are nice.

Here's my Favia.
It's bigger than it appears. It's about 8" wide and weighs over 5 lbs...

Wind: Relax. Only BAD things happen fast in reefing, which isn't really a joke but the honest truth.
Flamehawkfish: Actually that is a Platygyra, which is a Favid & certainly welcome on this thread. But its not a Favia. Just in the sake of accuracy, its also quite a nice Platy, I wish I could keep them, but they don't like my reef.

Mine? Nah, I'Ve yet to get a DECENT pic of mine up yet, mastering a digital cam & dealing with both a bowfront tank & a dial-up modem makes pictures a chore for me. But I will keep trying! Someday, you will all see mine clearly. Of course, they don't compete with some of the wonders on this thread.

This thread has inspired me to expand my Favia collection!!!

Here are a few ones I have picked up lately.

These last 2 I picked up from Steve Tyree of ReefFarmers around the holidays. He was kind enough to give me a private tour of his facility!! He has some awesome stuff in there!! The new LE acro he will be coming out with is real nice!
