Feather Duster lost crown

I know dusters do this when they're starving but I've had mine less than a week and I've been adding DT's live phytoplankton almost everyday so there's no reason he shouldn't have enough to eat. The only fish with it are a clark's clown and a yellowtail blenny. The clown is a bit nippy but I havn't seen him directly attack the duster. Are there any other reasons why the duster might eject it's feeding crown?

Stress can be a factor.. also feather dusters do tend to eject their crowns every so often and grow new ones.. so long as the worm is still in the tube its fine, if your not sure gently feel along the tube to see if there is a mass inside of it.. if the feather duster perishes it will fall out of the tube

i have had star fish eat the crowns and i thought the duster was effected but the crowns grew back and were brighter in color.I have seen the same duster do the same this 2 or 3 times with new crowns
