Feb NARC

Decatur Petco will host us on 21st of February. We need to decide on the start time.

Any recommendation for time and activity?

They are flexible on time. I wonder if anyone prefers a later or earlier time.

Any idea for the activity? Any demo needed for something? Auto top off? Fragging demo?

I think a fragging demo would be good. I know alot of us in the club are starting to reach the stage where we want to move in that direction. We have fragged some frog spawn,zoas, and polyps of different sorts. It;s not much but a start in the right direction. Jason
 
Another idea for the activity I have is about dipping and treating corals and fish. Maybe a show and tell for what to get or keep on hand in terms of medications, etc.

If more people are fragging and trading frags, they really should know about the parasites and disease that can spread through trading and how to treat for them. Some of the nasty bugs can wipe our your entire collection of zoanthids, SPS's or another type of corals.

I think dipping and such is a great idea. Also maybe 8ball could explain his new diy project of course that maybe a good topic for when we go to his house next so that he can show us. Hint Hint

I have a few left over frags from the swap in Nashville. I still can make some more if anyone is interested. Just let me know what you want so I can bring them for you. I know that I have to rip out a few softies again before they start shading my stonies.

I am a NARC newbie and plan to attend. I went to the MTRC swap and had a good time. I would be interested in just about anything. I have two varieties of mushrooms if anyone is interested, blue/purple and "watermelon" (reddish w/ green streaks).

Did I see someone write softies? and having to rip some out. How much you selling them for Tomoko? Well first I guess I should ask what are you having to cut back? I also was going to ask you if the place in Decatur sold salt, last time I was there the only saltwater store I knew of was pet depot.

Geez, why can't anyone around here get saltwater fish at least. There was 2 petco's in Huntsville but one closed down, we do still have 2 pet smarts though. Oh well, economy is sucking right now so I have seen a downfall in a lot of LFS lately.

Have you been to Coral Reef Aquatics in Athens? Also Pet Depot in Guntersville gets saltwater fish every thurs. Trent will special order.

I can make a small frag of BAM BAM.

I have a number of zoanthid and SPS frags. Those that I rip out would be clove polyps and xenia mainly. I am sure I can bring some neon green star polyps and some cream colored leather. These softies are free to a good home.

WOO HOOO, I have heard a lot about CRA and will get over there soon I hope. Some may not know but I have a 5 YO a 4 YO and my baby will turn 2 in feb. That would be great Tomoko. I love to see you write rip out and be head. Hope the corals don't hear you saying that.
