Feeding a Diamond Goby

Grizzled & Cynical
Anyone have any clever tricks to feeding a diamond goby beyond the obvious things like a feeding stick, tube, tongs, etc.? I have had an orange spot goby for over a year, and though it eats well generally, as my fish population has swelled (with more than it's fair share of piggies) very little food actually makes it down to the bottom anymore.

awesome fish.....i have one in a tank with 14 other fish including anthias and 4 wrasses.. but not as large as yours. i feed kind of heavy each time so food makes its way all around the tank..i also have a watchman that does not leave the sandbed so he's the biggest challeng. the goby will come up off the bottom to feed..not all the way up but usually as high as 1/3 up to feed.

other than target feeding and dumping enough food in at once to ensure all can get some ..not sure.
one other thing i cna think of is if the goby is in a corner..shut pumps off dump the food in the corner..wait for it to consume some and then turn them back on to circulate food around. i dont know.

What I do is drop some of those marine veggie tablets broken up into smaller pieces and that sinks straight to the bottom and my diamond goby loves it. I'll try to get the exact brand and name for you later.

Turn off all of the powerheads, and feed sinking pellets by his hole right before the lights come on.

All of the fish will still be in the rock, and the goby will have a head start on feeding time. Turn the powerheads back on, then feed as normal after the lights have come back on...

I find that feeding a variety at one time allows for more food to make it around the tank. I feed flake, pellets, frozen and nori at one time to allow the fish that only want frozen and pellets to eat and those who eat it all to pick and choose
