Can anyone answer and forgive me if this is mad!! Sure I have read on a forum somewhere that the comfy or various meat eating anemones who generally like prawn.. also like to eat scamp?? Obvioisly not the breadcrumbed table variety lol just the bare non treated fish.. anyone know just wondered if this may make a good alternative food??

I would think a healthy anemone would eat anything [marine related] that goes into it's mouth, considering it is pretty much immobile and without sight....certainly would mean it's an opportunistic feeder.

I'm sure if you applied some Grey Poupon mustard, it would greatly appreciate it. LOL

Finely-minced and completely raw marine life does work, but over-feeding can be quite a mess, as anemones will disgorge uneaten food in bundles sometimes much later.

Not sure why people feed anemones as it is not required. I have seen them choke on small pieces of shrimp or take days to digest fully and then days to poop.
Virtually all Nems get their food through photosynthesis, light being what is required.
If your looking for growth and splitting, you can feed once per month a small fingernail size piece of shrimp or fish, they are not picky.

^^misinformation. I have a BTA that was slowly shrinking and all the tentacles receded until the nem was nothing but a disk. I started feeding it and now it's back to it's former glory and huge! My Golden Nugget couldn't be happier.

Its not misiinformation. Anemeones do not need feeding, and can be healthy just from light alone. Feeding helps with growth as stated.

Never fed any of my nems, they get whatever is in the water column from broadcast feeding.
