Feeding Flame Alage to Tangs

I always throw out my harvested cheato, but now that my clump of flame algae needs trimming, I'm thinking I ought to feed it to my Tangs. Anyone do this?

Haven't the foggiest .... it's also sometimes called Dragon's Breath - deep red with orange tips under good light. Google thinks 'halymenia' maybe?

yup thats Dragon's Breath..I have a 90 fuge full of it with a nursing Emperor Angel...my tang some times eats it and my Angels don't touch it, but give it a try. Gracilaria all my algae eaters devour it...

I might just have a weird tang; but my PBT will display symptoms similar to swim bladder disorder if I feed her "red" nori or macroalgae. I figure it's actually probably an intestinal issue, as I've read other threads where posters talk about red nori giving their tangs "gas". :lmao:

Anyway, just a heads up in case one of your tangs starts acting a little weird after eating the stuff.

Interesting. The genesis of my original question here was actually because I do buy and feed my fish the Sea Veggies red and was looking at my dragon's breath as a potential substitute. I did find that it took my fish a while to warm up to the red stuff - green and purple they loved from the start.

Wasn't there chatter about the TB masked angels getting bloated from certain seaweeds?
