Feeding Gorgonians, & Dendros

Can anyone who had kept gorgonians, dendronepthias, or similar difficult to keep corals for over a year please share what foods, how often, & the techniques you use to maintain these animals? I would like to try some and I want to give them a better than average chance at surviving. I am also curious as to any auto feeders others are using if at all.

Thanks for sharing!

I feed oyster-feast and photo-feast from reef nutrition. Gorgonians like to eat lots of little stuff often. I feed like 3 or 4 times a day, which means I need to do large weekly water changes to maintain good water quality. I don't know of any good feeders, for these 2 foods because they need to be refrigerated, but considering this food is liquid in a bottle, it is real quick to just pore a little in. Oyster-feast has the best response by all of my corals including my gorgonian.

Well I can say for Dendros that I feed ocean perch once a week. Once smaller heads start appearing I turkey baste them with a mixture of flake food grind to a fine powder and spirulina.

Wrong animal. There are two animals that begin with Dendro, dendronephthya, and dendrophilia. The second is more common and somewhat easy to keep, similar to a sun coral. The first is a filter feeder and not much is know about them as of yet. We do know a lot about them, but its still only a drop in the bucket.

To the OP, must suggesting is to read every thread in the NPS section. Thats what I did, theres a ton of info here.
