Feeding Longnose Hawkfish (Oxycirrhites typus)

I have Longnose Hawkfish that I love. He is healthy and sits there waiting patiently for food. He eats plenty. Only thing is he only eats frozen mysis or brine shrimp. Won't touch anything else I give him. No flakes, no pellets, no freeze dried mysis or brine shrimp.

I would like to try to get him to eat other things especially some dry food. His tankmates (6-line wrasse, Flame Angel and two Ocellaris) eat pretty much anything I throw in there. I have no problem with feeding frozen except when I travel. It is easier for whoever is feeding them to use portions of dry foods I prepare in advance. No fuss for them.

Anyone have success weening fish off live or frozen and onto freeze dried, flake, or pellet? Any suggestions?

I have a newly acquired Cardinal who also will not eat anything other than meaty foods. I got quite a bit of "feedback" when I mentioned that I fed Rod's Original to him, but it's loaded with lots of different stuff and he loves it, as does everything else in the tank.

Had a longnose hawk back when first came into the hobby and other than what you're currently already feeding, only other thing mine would actually eat was Guppy fry.

the Hawk will take (small) live fishes. It's a natural prey item. I've had luck weaning Cardinals to nori, flake pellet but no such luck with Longnose Hawk (which is a jumper).
