Feeding schedule for LTA

I feed my sebae every 3 or 4 days. I plan to cut back once I think it is fully established, and really healthy.

Good Luck!!!

You should post a picture. Inclue a good shot of tentacle shape, the oral disc top and bottom. It will help ID whether it is LTA doreensis or crispa.

will do. I'll take a picture later today. I don't know if I'll be able to get the oral disc. it's firmly planted and happy.

That's a very good sign. Lots of people have had troubles with LTAs digging in. Is he attached to rocks or into the sandbed?

Very good to hear. I would feed 2-3 times a week.

forgot that we never really answered your initial question.

Start with relatively small meals and then make tehm a little larger until you find an amount the anemone can just finish in 2-3 minutes. (Assuming he wolfs down a single small piece in 20-30 seconds)

My LTA (10-12" across the oral disk) will eat 2-3 silversides. I only feed him once a week or so.

I love me LTAs both are doreensis shame I can't really see them well though ones green and about 24" and ones purple and around 14". I have had the green one for over 6 years no wand fed it only about every month or so tops and whatever it catches from the fish food the purple one I have had for nearly a year and the same feeding regiment though to be honest I would recommend at least once a week.
