Feeding time at the zoo

I apologize ahead of time for the crappy cell phone pics. But feeding is one of my favorite parts of keeping LPS. Tonight's menu consists of 6 cubes of PE Mysis shrimp, 2"x2" chunk of LRS Fish Frenzy and about a table spoon of New Life Spectrum Reef Macro-Feeder 2mm sinking pellets.
Duncans, Aussie Acans, Chalices, RBTA and rock nems, Torch, Frogspawn and Walking Dendros all got in on the action. I feed 2 to 3 times a week and have real good results. My acans and duncans grow like weeds, RBTA splits regularly and all my fish stay fat and happy.

Nice I can't wait to see the new additions you were talking about.... If your feeding that much mysis you should look into flat packs instead of the cubes, much more cost effective imo

Thanks guys.
I usually buy the flats but last time I went to APC in Windham they ordered the cube packs instead. With the amount of acans and other LPS I'm better off making my own again.
Ill try to get some better pictures tonight.

Wow - Seems like a lot of feeding to me. I would be interested in knowing a little about your filtration system and how you keep your tank parameters in check.

I miss feeding my tank like that! Favias, chalices, and zoos never grew faster... You ever use cycolpeeze? Most of my stuffed loved that too, and it comes in a 2 pack with the pe mysis. I also would mix in all kinds of reef nutrition foods.

What do your nitrates usually test? During my heavy feeding days I hovered around 10-15ppm sometimes hit 20 and corals I kept had amazing color and perfectly happy, hardly any sps in there tho, how about yours?

Last night was the most I fed my tank in a while. I was able to get EVERY mouth fed at least twice. The RTBA are pigs, they ate more than a cubes worth a piece! Was able to spot feed most of the acans 3 times.
For the most part I feed half that 1 to 3 times a week. I used to use Cycolpeeze but don't much anymore. Though its a great food, I find it to be pretty messy. I strain and rinse the food before I feed it to the tank. I try to keep the "gravy" out. LOL
Nitrates are rarely over 5 (RedSea). I skim very wet and am pretty religious about WCs. Unless something comes up, I change out 30 gallons out every Sunday. Total system volume is around 105ish gallons. P04 stays around .02 / .04 (Hanna). I keep Phosban running 24/7 and change out a large bag of carbon monthly from the sump.
Here's my new addition. Photo doesn't show the colors well at all.... Mix of red, blue, purple with light stripes in between.

Awesome new pick up! Thanks for the response... I used to rinse, gotta get back into the habit. I think cyclopeeze is pretty clean, I just stock that right in e tank and wave it around, falls apart in a few seconds,
