Female chasing male after anemone hosting, why?

A couple of weeks ago one of my clowns finally started to go in to my RBTA. It has since been in it constantly, just leaving for food. I think it is the female that is in the nem. The male has so far shown no interest in the RBTA and stays in the same corner the female "lived" in before she "moved".

The last couple of days the female has started to chase the male around the who tank. She even seeks him out and starts to chase him. It last for maybe 10 seconds or so, then she returns to the nem and he returns to his corner. Sometime she swims up to him and they stay side by side for awhile seemingly very friendly and then the chase starts again.

Does anyone have any ideas why? They have always got along well, swimming next to each other. The male have "danced" for the female and everything seemed well. Should I be worried I will find the male dead one morning?

Did you buy the clown as a pair? If you bought two individual clown at separate time. There could be a chance they both turn to female?

I have a pair of oscellaris as well, the female tends to charge at the male, but doesn't really harm it. I have seen the small guy twitch at the female, meaning he is submissive towards the female.

Just keep an eye out and see how it goes.

They were both bought at the same time as juveniles. Too early at that time to sex them. One of them (what I think is the male) did repeatedly do the "twitch dance" for the other (for what I think is the female).

First how big are they? How long have they been established in the tank together?
They are still fairly small. I would say maybe 2" long each. The female (what I think is the female) is slightly bigger. They were both bought at the same time about 5 months ago.

Mine did the same thing. I was sure I was going to be fishing out a dead fish. There was some serious fighting. Then after a couple weeks they quit and have been peaceful ever since.

I thought maybe they were fighting for dominance to become female.
