Female clown attacking male, (spawning)?

We recently got a pair of clowns that were donated to a lfs. The female is about 3.5" and the male 2.5". We noticed that the female has been "cleaning" and gotten more aggresive when she sees us put our hands in the tank. We just saw her go after the male and "bite" him. What is going on? Are they getting ready to spawn or is she just being aggresive?

These are your Ocellaris right? Just let them be. Clowns go through marital issues just like people. They will be back together in no time.

yea they are the ocellaris. They seem to be better already, she is still not happy when we put our hands in the tank. She seems to want to ram and bite our hands everytime.

its normal ive had clowns that when i put my hand anywhere in my 90 gal tank they would attack lol so its normal

Sounds like they are reaching sexual maturity and may start spawning soon. They just want you out of the territory. Watch out because those little clowns have a bigger bite then you think!
