Few shots of the Blad Eagles

breutus

Don't ask me, I'm wrong.
went out this last weekend and took some shots up the great river road near alton IL. Most of them were a good distance away and I only have a 300 but it was really fun none the less.

breutus those are some good pics. I was up there a few weeks ago and only saw a couple but they were pretty far away and with only a 200mm lens I couldn't really get any pictures.

Thanks, I have always liked getting out there on a weekend and take the kids.

It was so funny the first time we took my oldest. We told her we were going to see eagles. and when we go tthere and told her to stat looking, she asked where are the cages!!!

Those are awesome. We have a pair that migrate between Burnet and Lampassas, Texas. I hope to get my D80 out and take some photos!

Those are really nice pics! I used to see those guys all the time on Whidbey Island. One time I had one land right next to me on the beach. (like 10 feet away) It was huge and just looked at me like "what are you doing on my beach" so I left.

An eagle shot from my family's Alaska vacation a few years ago.

It was a younger bird with adult coloration, on a branch about 10-15 feet up, over the path. I was finally able to get an angle where I could get him clear of the branches, but ended up silhouetteing him.
