Fij collected Birdsnest

no experience with wild caught ones but that sure looks like a coral that is going to want
some excellent lighting to stay hot pink like that.

otherwise from what i know of birds nest is that is quite hardy. i am not sure why they call
it a difficult to keep coral?

we get heaps of wild caught birdsnest here in aus and it is one of the easiest SPS to keep, funnily enough tho mine is the only colony in my tank that is aquacultured from a small frag.

There's probably local reefers in your area who would be willing to chop you off a frag that size for free or darn cheap. Regardless it's an easy coral to keep if you can keep "SPS".
i know that most sps colonies do not do could in aquariums if they are harvested from the ocean rather than maricultured.
Maricultured is also harvested from the ocean (purposely grown in "controlled" environments for the hobby/reef restoration). Quacultured is grown in captivity.

Live Aquaria labels most, if not all of the corals in their "SPS" section as "Difficult".
