Filter not powerful enough?

Hi

I've put together a filter (not sure whether or not to call it a HOB or cannister filter). The design is based on https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xRnmrNkWq6M, but I've placed the pump in the tank to pump water into the filter, rather than putting a power head in the filter. This was the only pump I had that was unused, but I'm worried that it's not powerful enough. The pump is rated for 50 gallons per hour and my tank is 15 gallons. Is this pump not strong enough?

Did you have fun.. Thats really all that matters there..

Depending on the specifics of the design/media its either totally useless or very slightly beneficial so don't sweat it

What do you mean by fun? If you mean building the filter, then yes, I enjoyed making it and testing it out.
I haven't put any media yet, but I'm thinking filter floss and bioballs. By the way, in your last comment, are you implying that it could be improved?
