Filter Socks

Anyone know how to clean out one of those filter socks? I heard a few techniques but wanted to get some opinions. I've heard "wash in the dishwasher, hose them out, laundry washer"

Anyone deal with these things on a regular basis?

Incredible how they filter out stuff but not just an easy rinse and re-use.

Thanks...

i hose in out real good, it helps to flip it inside out, i know some throw it in with their laundry and some put them in the machine by themselves

Hose it off real good and throw it in the washer machine by itself with a couple capfuls of bleach, that's how I clean all of mine, I have three .

Thanks for the tip. How long before you can put it back in the tank? Do you have to rinse out the sock in water or something to get the bleach out after the wash?

I take mine straight from tank add bleach put on the long soak cycle on delicate and then right back in tank.

My washing machine has a 2nd rinse option on it, i use that and am yet to have problems. Mine sits perfectly in the water and doesnt overflow out of the top of the sock until the sock becomes saturated with detritus, then i know its time to take it out. This occurs about every 3-4 days. Make sure you buy extras!

Thats how i do mine to. i was starting to wonder about useing bleach or not but now i dont feel bad if everyone else does. thanks for asking this question.

Washed in the washing machine, inside out using oxy bleach, hang in my basement to dry overnite and then good to go.

Here is what I do:
Hose out real good, sit in a bucket of bleach water for anywhere from one hour to overnight depending if I forget :), then I let it hang dry. I have three socks that I use now, two are 200 micron, one is 100 micron. I want to get all 100 micron.
