Hey Gary,

Are your brown star polyps touching your Acropora? Do they sting the acro at all?

Bill
No. In fact, my Acros can grow right over those little brown polyps- which are actually an unusual type of Clavularia.
If I let aquarium conditions deteriorate (no skimming, no water changes, etc.) the Clavularia will grow faster than "clean loving" SPS- but they don't "sting". It's more like encrust and smother. :)

Fantastic pictures Gary.

It will be difficult to beat that tank with your next system. I'm sure you're up for the challenge though!

Thanks, Guy.
Bringing to realization what you envision is always the most difficult part.

How about it, folks: a lot of you have seen my (currently) 9 year old reef aquarium in person. No aquarium pic looks as good as the real thing, but I feel these photos are a good representation of what my aquarium looks like today, (although a little bit darker for photography purposes).
Thumbs up or thumbs down?

Gary,

I have not had the chance to see your tank in person, but the pictures look AMAZING. Great job.

I've seen it in person and while the pictures are good (Gary, your photography skills are improving!) the pictures really don't do it justice. Your tank is amazing. It will be fun to watch the new one develop over the next 9 years.

Thanks. All input is appreciated. :)
It's time for me to shift into another gear now that I've taken tons of photos. It helps to get others input on pics because I've looked at too many already. There are still more pictures to sort through and delete while others are keepers for the record book.

Gary,
I have had the pleasure of a few visits to your home, and the Pics are very representative of the tank itself.
Only thing missing is you in the pic next to your tank.

My offer still stands if you need help with anything.

Stephen

Gary - Felt I needed to share something with you. I have looked at most of your pictures with my home computer and they were all very dark and I didn't care for them. I stopped by this thread today while at work and the pictures are totally different. MUCH brighter than I had seen at home. Your pictures are GREAT here at work. Now I need to tell the wife I need a new monitor.
