Thanks Roblack for the light its great...f**king bright lol

If anyone local has frags of monti caps (multi color preferably) or any special sps im looking so shoot me a pm thanks

awesome job! Looks great. nice DIY work. Whats the lowest of the bulkheads for? the one that has the tubing only and no PVC?

that goes to the closed loop pump if you look closely u can see the SCWD right beneath it going to the 2 returns

wow...i really like the way this is setup. only thing I would've done is use the 1" sqwd instead of 3/4 because the 3/4 is soooo restrictive on flow. Other than that...looks AMAZING!

yeah i was debating that but i actually have to dial in the pump to abt 50% because it was to much at first

thanks, let me ask here since no one has replied in the LPS subforum, is it ok if i place a frogspawn in the area circled in red it gets light but is partly shaded

It'll depend on the final setup. They're quite light tolerant, but cloudy water makes it more difficult for them, and if your levels are at all fluctuating since it's a new tank, I definitely would hold off for a little while. After that, it should be fine even with lower light.

thanks i forgot to mention that all the rocks, sand, and livestock came from a local breaking down his tank so everything is about 6-8 months old

It'll still take a little while for things to settle, so I wouldn't recommend adding much in the way of livestock for at least a week or two.

Also, is the Iwaki pressure rated, or just high flow? If it's pressure rated, make sure those clamps are on TIGHT or even reinforce them or re-clamp it with something stronger. I know someone who has blown a loose but not leaking PVC joint across the floor of his house, let alone vinyl with screw downs. Definitely be careful, and make sure that it's a secure connection before the dialing down valve.

Otherwise, I think this will really look great once settled in!

i thinks its just high flow its the Iwaki WMD40RLXT, yeah im not getting anything until atleast the 15th lol oh yeah gotta love payday.

no the tank was an old pentagon tank that belonged to my parents that looked like this

i thought it looked to classic so i modernized it, flipped around and built a new stand.

so with about $150 i turned the picture above into this tank

Carlos, looks like you have some decent word working skills. Going to need to build a new stand for my 90g, wanna help?! :)
