Tank looks great Ariel! I'm so happy to see the Anthias look happy as they can be. My little guy always begging for food!

Wow, looks great.

What are your thoughts on the build quality of the tank? Is the black background they include removable?

Very nice, how do you like the mp's on the back rather than the sides?

I initially had both Mp40s on the back for aesthetic reasons, but I was feeling that I was having the desired flow. I left one in the back and put one on the side panel and I've been pretty happy.

It Looks amazing! Is that still my clownfish I sold you?

The little male is the one you sold me a while back. It took a while for him to pair with my female, but they finally had their first batch of eggs around 8 months ago.

Im not sure if the black is removable. It looks painted on.

The tank itself seems very nicely made. The silicone work is nice and straight and all the edges line up. I'm not going to lie, I was little worried when waiting for my order from cadslight. I had heard mixed reviews about their tanks and customer service. I was missing some plumbing parts, but Eddie quickly sent the missing parts over. The tank is 1/2 inch starfire glass and is 48x24 and is 20 inches tall. Its not that tall, but some may prefer the 3/4 glass for more security.

That's good to hear that it turned out to your liking. 1/2 inch glass on that size tank is pretty standard, I wouldn't be concerned by it either.
That holds true to the general consensus that CAD tanks themselves are of good quality, while the other components.. not so much.

Thanks for your input. (I've been considering a CAD custom.)

wow, amazing tank! i'm thinking of ordering the same one. In the video there appears to be white specs on the back walls. Are those air bubbles in the black material or just sand particles. if i order, I'm debating if i'll see if they can ship without the black covering. again inspiring tank!

Thanks, Jgalvin. The white specs are not air bubbles. I think it's coralline algea starting to form. You can ask Eddie at Cadslight and may be able to make you the tank you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply! By bday this month, so think i found my gift to myslef :celeb3: How much did eddie charge you for shipping to Illinois?

Keep us updated on the build. By the way, I'm originally from LaGrange, Ill, but moved away after graduating from U of Ill. Live in suburb of Seattle now.

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how much shipping was. I asked for a moddified version of the Artisan 100g tank and negotiated shipping into the cost.

Like I said earlier, I feel lucky the tank did not get damaged in shipping as other folks have experienced. It is super important you are ready with help for when the tank is delivered and you completly inspect everything BEFORE the delivery man leaves. Otherwise, it is harder to get the tank replaced if there is a problem.

yeah, i imagine shipping must cause lots of damage. If you don't mind me asking, what did you get modified from the standard Artisan 100g?
