It is a good day, I finally joined the 75 gal crew...only had to wait 5 weeks for the store to order and ship my tank because they don't keep AGA RR in stock

Anyways, what do some of you guys with 75's have for movement? I was thinking going closed loop but im leaning further away now that I dont want to drill it.

A 29long will be underneath for the sump, should have roughly 4ft of head loss, return pump suggestions?

TIA

oh and this is going to be dsb, still want as much flow as possible

I have pretty much the same set up, except with a ssb. I run a Mag 9 for a return (4' head), a Quiet One 3000 through my chiller, then returning to the tank, and two Seio 820's. Sand does get blown around into piles a little bit but not much.

I am guesing that you wil be keeping SPS. When I had a SSb in my 75 I used two Seio 1100s with no problem and a mag 7 on the return with 4' head height. HTH

im running two Tunze Stream 6000's on the multicontroller and a cheap return pump that returns about 500gph . . .i love it!

Cool, thanks guys. I got the tank at what i think was a pretty good price at $208 new so i do have a lil money left over from my budget, i would love to throw a couple streams in there if i can find them at a good price...i imagine they would still cost a small fortune from what ive seen thus far.

The seios will definately be on my short list though. Nothing is set in stone yet and i have too much time to plan it all out as i need to get the room remodeled first before the tank gets started.

Thanks again.

Got a pair of 6060s in my eighty (everyone on RC calls it a 90) that work quite well for me. I contol them with a Reefkeeper cycling back and forth every two hours.
