Finally my 90 gallon reef

Looking good :) Very nice progress so far. Can't wait to see how your canopy turns out!

I might try to work on that this weekend. I finished painting it last weekend and the smell has gone away "Oil base paint". I just need to mount the MH reflectors and fans. Everything is looking good under the VHO's, so I don't think I will run the MHs but a hour or two to get them burned in. I don't really need them until it is time for my SPS to go in the tank. Have some nice pieces in my frag tank now and they will only be bigger when it is time to move them over.

Thanks everyone for you nice comments..........

hey your tank looks great whats that black clown called could it go in my tank its got a baby perk in it or will the black clownfish kill it

Nice tank. I am getting ready to do my first saltwater tank. We are putting a 200gal. in our hallway wall. I am going to post my own threads when we start the project next month. I am excited,so is the fiance and all the kids

Thought I would just go ahead and see how they would do? Tank is getting a few diatoms now on the regular Fiji and on the sand, but other then that everything is going great. Knock on Wood......

Yes, they are doing great. The frogspawn really expanses out and the fungia expanded after a few days in the tank. Wife liked them both too. ;)

That is always a plus. If the wife agrees.

The fragspawn has been with me 7 or 8 years. It has survived the tank crash, the flood, the cooper incident..it has a dear place in my heart.

Looks good in your tank!

Canopy Update

Canopy Update

I just got my canopy on the tank, and thought I would share some pictures. It turned out alright, but I am not a cabinet maker, so I guess it is good enough for who it's for.

How many pounds of live rock you put in aquarium

and what diameter of pipe (inch) use for overflow?

and i am interesting about return pump how many galons have?

thank you!!!

50 lbs of regular Fiji, 75 lbs of Totoka Fiji "Totoka is a light weight rock"

1.25 drain "Durso" and return. If there had been some way to run a return over the top I would have and ran 2 full syphon drains in the overflow. I am getting some bubble in my sump from the air/water drain system. My frag tank has a full syphon and return over the top and it has no bubbles and quieter.

Return pump Mag 9.5 "with head height I get about 600ish"
