fingered dragonet

Anyone have one? My lfs has one and I LOVE THEM!. I am wanting to add one to my 120g display. How big do these get? LA says 6", bluezoo says 12". My tank was setup march 8 and I KNOW I have amphipods, and I will be getting tisbe pods next weekend probably. Could I have a fingered drag AND a red mandy, if I have a good enough pod population?

In the wild I have seen them reach about six inches. Feeding is similar to other dragonets.

In a mature 120 gallon with no copepod eating competition, marginal but possible.

I have had fingered dragonets (one) but I have a LOT of experience photographing them in the ocean.

I would wait longer if the tank's only been set up since March. While you may see what you think are a lot of pods, they eat a crazy amount of pods per day. 1 pod every 3 or 5 seconds or something like that. In an 8 hour day that's a LOT of pods. Sk8r had a write up on it, I'll try to find it for you.

They are a beautiful fish. Two can be kept in a tank that size if it's an older well-established tank with a refugium that produces a large pod population.

I'm always surprised by how many posts there still are about keeping one of these animals (mostly mandarins) in a small tank and insisting it's ok because the poster has access to bottled pods.

Right. Getting people to read stickies is sometimes next to impossible. I have given up replying to those threads asking that particular question.
