Finicky Conspic...

My small Achilles went in last night. Conspic is following her around when she eats. Hopefully that sparks something. She seems to be more interested when food enters the tank. Feeling hopeful...

Man I keep seeing you post and hoping to hear good news come from this. Others showing her how to eat should help a lot. You mentioned the tank is at 77 degrees, is this what you have kept them at before? I keep my tank with the bandit at 75... Not suggesting that's a factor but was just wondering? I know Ted keeps his tank with the masked angels at 72

I keep coming also all low pro to see if he finally eats. I have a crosshatch that was eating fine but after flukes and a few water issues he has stopped eating going on a bit over a month now. Feeling your pain. Good luck

No luck yet. On a positive note though, she's becoming more lively at feeding time. Sees all the other fish perk up and reacts. Feeling hopeful.

This is exactly why I never buy Angels when they're this large....scary stuff.

Scary stuff indeed. How big was she you said, 5"? They seem to be hard to come by smaller than 4" most of the time. Everyone likes to measure small when selling them and other deep water angels. Her being more active is encouraging to say the least

Overly happy to report she started eating with gusto today. She hadn't eaten at all last night. Woke up this morning, did my usual feeding before work. As i walked up the stairs I saw her snatch up two pieces of food. I was already running late, so i didn't stick around to see if maybe I was seeing things. Came home today and immediately went down to feed.....BAM! Shes swimming right next to the achilles eating everything he passed up. Such an awesome feeling. It was a mix of Dr. Gs, spir. brine, lrs herbivore, and PE mysis. She didn't seem to favor anything over another. The little navarchus in my QT also started accepting pellets for the first time today. Just a great day all around.

I put my stocking on hold to pursue getting her to eat. Happy to report that is now back underway as well! Just in time for baby bandit season...

Thanks guys for all the kind words and helpful suggestions. Will start a build thread when i get some free time. Need to get acquainted with my Go-Pro and get some videos up as well...

Man so glad for you, that is awesome. You think it was adding the other fish?

That's what I'm thinking. It definitely brought her out more. I think the saving grace was the Achilles though. After the initial hazing, she would constantly follow her around inspecting whatever she was doing....

So glad to hear! I was thinking about your conspic yesterday hoping that we would get some good news soon.

Do you think adding the achilles was the turning point?

I really do. She had previously refused the same foods over and over again. Nothing else changed...

She's beautiful and Congrats, I'm so happy to hear this.

Turn your phone 180 degrees and have it horizontal for video. :D you'll thank me.
