Now thats a good buy...But $600-$800 for a tank that you'll have to pay mods for doesn't seem like the best deal. Why not just build your own?

Also, what is the volume of the actual display?

Honestly, I would not want to have to mess with fixing everything so that it works just right. I think that the dimensions of the tank are great too. You can buy the tank w/o lights and skimmer from aquacave for ~$250. I am trying to iron the details out right now.

what is the 250 watt MH capable of keeping that the 150 watt is not?

just ordered a Finnex 30 gallon yesterday and I would like some help in deciding which lights to purchase. Finnex offers both a 150 and 250 MH that are supplemented by ~50 watts T5s. Isn't the 250 overkill?

I am looking at the Current USA 24 inch Outer Orbit

One is a 150 watt and the other is a 250. Both are supplemented by ~100 watts T5s. Is the 250 overkill?

I want to keep SPS, zoas, clams, and perhaps an anemone...basically, I do not want to be limited by the light. Thanks in advance.

I have 250w over my Finnex. Not overkill in my opinion. One thing to watch out for is heat. My tank is running at 82 degrees so I will definitely need a chiller or find a way to cool the tank down when summer comes around.

Another thing to watch out for is the width of the light fixture. It may interfere with the skimmer collection cup.
