Firefish issue

I have three firefish in my tank. While in hindsight this was likely a bad choice, I had heard that they needed company, and I could afford three. Anyway, two of them paired up and are kind of bullying the third. He/she hides all day in the rocks, and gets chased if he/she comes out. Do I just need to move the third, or is there a less obvious solution that I'll like better?

move it. firefish will usually whittle themselves down to 1 or 2

Ok, thanks. I wish there was a better solution, but better for me isn't necessarily the same as better for the fish.

You're lucky if the 2 paired up. Keep an eye on them to make sure once the 3rd is removed the other 2 don't start going at it.

Unless you are very lucky, you will end up with one at about the four month mark.

Well, I've had them for around eight months, actually. I was surprised the issues started so late, once I heard about the fact they might kill each other. Not complaining, though.
