Firefish question

Can two firefish be together in a 125? I got them at the same time, they swim together the first day, but after that one hides all the time and the other one is out, what is going on when the two are out they move their long fin fast? they are not really fighting.

Yes, they can be kept together in a 125. Most people buy two at a time because they pair up with each other.

as for the fin thing, I have no idea. I have never kept fire fish and have never seen this behavior.

It is a sign they are nervous

They'll calm down. If you have pets or children that investigate the tank, try to restrict this until they get acclimated. One is being the 'scout', I think. I have a yellow watchman paired with one, and you usually see just one.

Thans, I have not seen the other one I hope is not gone well I'll try to keep my 2 and 5 year old girls away from the tank (impossible) the tank is in the living room
