Oh YEAH!! That's a sick tank! I'm so happy for you, you deserve a really nice tank!! I can't wait to see it all filled up with life, good luck!!
 
Wow that is a really nice tank. I'll be watching the build as well, I can't wait to see how you set up your rock work.
 
I find it interesting how we all have different ideas about what is the "perfect" tank (for ourselves).

I have a 4x2ftx10in tall tank in my garage that curretnly houses all my fish and corals and I can't wait to get my "display" which will be 4x2ftx30in tall...

Of course neither my tank or your tank are intrinsicly better than the other... we all just have different tastes.

So will the majority of your viewing be done from the top down?

No, viewing will be done from the front. I will be building an island on top of this build. Island will be built today.

So this is what the island will be made of(everything used will also be reef safe product incase the island for some reason falls in the water).

*Mini pond liner(OSH)
*Sand(Caribsea)
*Reef glue(Boston aqua farms)
*Hut and trees(Michaels art and craft)
*Live rock
*PVC
*My strong arms and hands(lol)

LED! It will be perfect over a shallow tank. I'm getting really good results in my shallow LED tank. A few SPS corals browned out at first, but they're all coloring back up as they acclimate to the LED lighting. My ORA Hawkins Enchinata and ORA Green Stylo lost a lot of color at first, but both are starting to color back up now (maybe 8 weeks in the tank now).

Can't wait to see this filled. Congrats man. Hope to see you at the next SCRK meeting. My good friend Brian works at AoA and has been bugging me to come for months now!
