anyone else try this year? every year I get more practice... sometimes its surprising what you capture when you get back home and take a look. post them if you got them even if your not so proud of them. Happy 4th everyone.

manual focus, manual mode, low ISO, 3 - 5 sometimes 8 - 10 second shutter speed, F stop 11-18. next year I want to be closer, this was with my 18-105mm lens 105 out. tripod is a must. the pics on my computer look better. photobucket always seems to darken them up

on the hill at the entrance to Columbia Lakes sub-division, last year I was on the other side of things on the hill up at the cemetery that looks over town.

Rams those pictures are really good, I am very impressed! I meant to take my camera each night we went downtown, but with everything going on with my daughter I couldn't seem to remember it.

I don't think I could have matched that either way though... But after seeing it and knowing what you we're doing I am gonna try this weekend at the live on the levi if we make it

The lowest ISO I could go was 200 with my D50, remote is very handy but not a make or break. A lot of times I just let it go 8 to 10 seconds a few seconds before I figured they were firing. I would love to go downtown but lugging kids and camera stuff in tow just doesn't sounds appealing. There is no way my kids would let me go without them. Dupo sounded like they had a hell of a show this year. I might try them next year, anyone know of a good spot?
