Hi to all,

I am happy to introduce the first worldwide Albino Marine Fish to Reefcentral.
A few of you guys might have read about it on MOFIB.

The whole story can be found here:

http://www.marinebreeder.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=169&t=4663

It is the first albino strain in the world for marine fish.
These are amphiprion ocellaris.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks and regards

Marcel

Nature is awsome!

I followed from a few other sites Congratz on such a rare occurance and on knowing what to do with them, and regognizing thier significance Thats a huge first!

I really hope you get them to the US I would love to have a pair.

You really need to get a real photographer to take some pics for you.

Don´t you worry, the first release of the albino clowns will take place in the US.

They are crazy looking but I am sure they will develop a following

After all look what the picassos and naked clowns are going for

The nerd in me is wondering what their longevity looks like, and if they develop any problems later in life due to being albino. Many animals that are "albino" have other problems (cats can be deaf for example). In any case, that is pretty cool. I read through the other article a bit, and it is pretty interesting.

coolness factor: 10
attractiveness factor: 1
+1. I really don't care for them.

Bleh... To each his own I guess. And to think. 5 years ago these albino's, picasso's, snowflakes, platinums, and whatever the new clown hotness will be would have been culled.

What are you planning to call them? Watercolor clowns?

As with all albinos,,,, they scare me.

I am not one to call a fish ugly, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but these are not for me.
