First anemone split, looking for advice

Well as the title says my RBTA has split and it's the first time so I'm just curious if there are any things to do/ not to do. Thr split happened about 2 days ago I have held off on feeding as they are kind of in odd places so I'm waiting for them to settle. Any advice would be appreciated.

I just added a BTA to my tank last week. How old was yours before it split? After they split did one stay in the same location and did the other one move?

I added mine oct 16th so almost 6 months. It was probably close to 8in in diameter when it split. Right now they are still near each other but kind of hiding. They still both have great color and look healthy just going to observe them over the next week or so see if they move around and come out a bit more.

Don't feed them until they are fully healed and are each one solid anemone. It takes a few weeks at least give it a month. They will sometimes hide after a split since they are more vulnerable to getting hurt but they should come out on their own.

Honestly bubble tips rarely need to be fed unless you have sub par lighting, they are bleached, or you are trying to speed up their growth. But feedings on occasion can't hurt. I always use mysis for them due to their smaller size. Mine always split around 8inches.

Ok cool I'll hold off on the feeding for a while. today they are both out absorbing the light so everything seems ok. I don't really feed them often but I use mysis as well, generally once every 7-10 days. I think my lighting is ok I'll try to cut back a bit on feeding so they grow slower, unless they head south. I don't really have room for them to split again. When they do I'll have to try to get them on a rock so I can bring them to my lfs.

As soon as the mouth formed, you can feed them. No special care needed after anemone split. If you want them to grow then feed them.
