First clam pics

Finally got around to taking some pics of my Derasa. Its hard to tell but it is acually orange if you look from the top but appears to be kinda brown from the side view. Any tips on perameters would be great. Ca is at 420 and lights are 14 39 watt T5's.

After reading more about him, I decided that the sand was going to be the best spot for him. I will leave him there as long as he doesn't show any signs of stress. He was actually to big and heavy to be up on the rocks.
If he were to stress, what signs would I look for?
 
yeah, they like the sand and get pretty big. look for bleaching or loss of color also watch for hyperextension of his mantle like he's reaching for the light.
 
your sand looks good and so do the rocks, the derasa looks very healthy, ditto on the bleaching if the color gets really light or the mantle retracts somethings wrong then. as long as it stays the way it looks now its healthy.
