first clown

Got my first clown today, a false percula. Happy little guy. the LFS had a ton of them and I picked the most active one that was just snuggling in an anemone the whole time while the rest were free swimming or occasionally rubbing an anemone. I am going to try and get an anemone when I get the chance to go snorkel next.

this guy cost me about 9 bucks, what do they go for stateside?

You are going to get an anemone out of the ocean by yourself while snorkeling?

Clownfish are $18 here. I have no idea about the anemones in Japan, but I would make sure they are the right kind for your tank.

ok, what are some things to look for? I am assuming 90% of the stuff found in LFS are caught on the island.

thats right wicked, or If I see one while diving i'll gather one then. the anemone at LFS are in rough shape normally and about 20$
coral for some reason is 15$

Find out if it's legal first. I don't know if it's colder water regions or what, they won't survive in a regular tank in that case. I'd research.

harvesting coral is the only no-no here, I'll look into survivability. I dont want to take something just for it to die. there are a ton of SW tank owners here.
