First New Anemone!! Issues...

I just got my first Anemone today, and it is quite beutiful. It is a GBTA, greenish tentacles with a purple tip along with a purple foot. It is wonderful, and I really love Anemones.

My tank is set up since June of last year, so i have about 8 months in. My parameters are rather stable, with

Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-15ish
Ca- Dont know, do not have kit
ALK- dont know either
PH- 8.1-8.2
Salinity- 1.022-23

I think my tank was ready for an anemone, but damn this thing keeps moving. I put it in a nice location, and shut all poweheads off. After about one hour, i turned one powerhead and it started moving. After about another hour, both powerheads are on.

A little after both powerheads were on, it somehow traveled to the powerhead and got stuck. It was not injured really, but i had to shut it off and it fell and got back to a nice location.

Im just wondering if it got really hurt, and if it did, how do i stop it from moving? and how long will this go on for?

You should wrap the intake of the powerheads in foam or window screening until the anemone settles in. It will likely move around for a couple days to find it's favorite spot. And just FYI, Alk is one of the things that can directly affect an anemone's health and happiness.

i kept my powerheads on so that way the anemone knew the flow for its spot. i also put it down on a spot so it could get its bearings. i was fortunate enough for it to like the spot where i put it and only moved on the rocks a few inches. i have heard that feeding an anemone encourages it to stay in a spot though.

ps do wrap your intakes for sure. i left my powerheads on and uncovered because they are koriolas so it is a bit more safe

Your lights should affect its behavior and location alot as well since they're mostly photosynthetic. My green bubble-tip moved to a back corner at the bottom and turned brown, but a rose BTA is only 6" below the surface under 250w MH lights. They both seem happy with enough circulation though

I left it with only one powerhead for a while, and i think it found its spot. I turned on the second powerhead, and it stayed there!!

Anemones look pretty awsome so far. I just have to get it bigger so my clowns will host it.
