First Photography Class!

So this spring semester I am signed up to take a film photography class. Kinda nervous haha, the only film experience I have is taking it to Wal Mart and having them develop it! haha.

I am looking at getting a Nikon FM10, they seemed to be fairly reasonably priced, at it appears I can use my lenses from my Nikon dSLR as well. Anyways, just thought I would share that haha.

I still have an old FE.

They are fairly rugged and still pretty easy to come across. Remember though, if the lens is made for a crop body, it may not work well. Still, you're gonna have alot of fun.

Are you guys gonna do any darkroom work???

I am surprised the class are not going digital now. I must say there is something you can get with film that is still missing from digital cameras.

I still have an old FM, in great shape. I remember at the time making the call on FM v. FE based mostly on budget, and also a desire to force myself to expose manually.

I have found plenty on ebay, an most come with the kit lens still. The Nikon website that it works with all AF-S AF-D AF-I etc lens, so I would assume it would work with my kit AF-S 18-55mm

Yes we are. That's one of the main reasons why I took the class.

They have digital photography classes, but they aren't nearly as in-depth with the photography aspect. Film requires a 35mm SLR, where as I know people that have used their camera phones for digital. I think the final project in digital is to make a huge collage in PS and print out or something. No thanks! lol
