First reef id?

Hey!

I have just started cycling my first ever tank. I'm using carrib live sand and 1 big piece of live rock (straight from LF's pool to my house in like 30 mins). I then have some dry rock (white)

I'm about to start week 3 of cycle.

Thoughts? Advice so far?

Also is this coraline algae?

Foraminiferans is another possibilty. These usually protrude from the rocks a little, but they don't start off like that.

Btw you might want to add another one of those pumps to the tank. I'm not sure what the GPH of that thing is, but for some reason I don't think it's enough. You definitely want tings to be on the turbulent side when it comes down to flow in a reef tank.

It's 220 ish GPH and my Tank is 13G
