WOW..what a difference in size & design between a 1 HP & 1 1/2HP chiller from Tradewinds. I'm glad that I went with the 1 HP. Your building codes must be pretty slack. A unit like that would have to sit 3 ft from the house up here, same with the generator. Because of the neighbors lot line, and the fact that it runs on natural gas, I was forced to set my generator in the back corner of my yard. Looking good...you must be close to being able to fill the system once you get your plumbing to the chiller up and running:thumbsup:

codes:lol: i am way beyond that Shhh please enjoy the music  yeah i went with 18,000btu simply because i like overkill. its is a beast and not only that matches the unit i have already in the back. i will reconsider my generator and looking into a bigger unit with larger motor. the guardian 16,000 watt has 16 circuits w/992cc OHVI Industrial engine and Guardian Quietsource 25,000 watt (1.6HP 4cylinder) has 200amp transfer switch so no additional circuits has to be ran to it also will be able to powered up my whole entire house without any problems of course block parties are included:dance:  , hehe... ro water been running about 2 days now and schedule for this friday to fly down tampa to pick up my rock and fly them back with me. since 2 days shipping time was not in my books and hand picking them will be awesome:D

fly down to tampa and fly the rock back up? If its on an airline they are going to stick you with a hell of a overweight luggage charge.

Wow that really is a monster chiller. That could cool down your entire house. :D

its a little smaller then my upstairs unit.

its not too bad consider same day, its cheaper than shipping overnight. the good things is that i can hand picked exactly what i want and bring them back with little die off or if any occurs.

I live in St. Petersburg and fly Southwest out of Tampa often. Fridays can be a real bear if you have to check baggage. Be sure to give yourself lots of extra time for check in. Maybe as much as 2 hrs. Friday afternoon can be very busy and the lines at both checkin and security can be long. Lots of business travelers and vacationers going home. Better to get there early and have a beer while waiting for your flight.

Checkin online as early as 24 hrs before the flight to secure an "A" boarding pass. Hopefully the lines will be short, but play it safe.

Why not consider a small commercial 1800 RPM Diesel generator? You can use off-road diesel which is cheap and they'll last darn near forever..

well the only bad things is nobody can fill the diesel tank for me if it run low so standby NG is my only options just in case of major storm or hurricane and mandatory evacuation occurs. hopefully that never happened again:(

Diesel can be hard to get after a major storm. NG on the other hand is fairly reliable. I don't know about your area, but my family has experienced numerous storms in the Ft. Walton Bch. area over the last few years and the only utility that was in service through and after the storms was NG. Even with no power the gas pipeline stays pressurized.

While your at it run a tap for your gas grill. You can host a cook out when everyone else is scrambling for gasoline, diesel, and LP gas.

thanks, my plans was to have a block party when lights are out.:eek1: when katrina came all power was lost except for NG which was still online throughtout the entire storm, so this would be the best choice and if i chose diesel which i would have to find a way to get a fairly large amount to me and store some kind of way which is out of the question.

squin is there any LFS in Seminole or near driving distance?

There are a couple you may want to check out. You can Google the addresses to see if they are too far out of the way. Pet Mart shouldn't be to far out of the way. Marine Warehouse Aquarium is in Tampa and close to the airport. I would check it out if you have time to kill.

thanks and yes its fine, but the main thing you cant label on the boxes is LIVE ROCKS or LIVE. as long you're bringing rocks they don't mind and have to pay for the additional boxes. roughly 400-500lbs since haitian are less dense then others.
