Nice OST!

A real favorite tang for me. One of these was on the list for my 220, but the growth yours and a few others I've followed is making me shy to get such a potentially large tang. How does it get along with other tank mates?

I am not sure if I missed it but did you end up selling your Deltec skimmer? If so what did you end up getting?

Sorry to hear about your QT!

Awesome fish pics. I love those PBT's. I'd heard that they can be pretty aggressive though. Does he behave with all the other fish?

Bax - thanks, eats a lot and crap all day like J said. you will definitely need good skimming like BK :D for keeping these large tangs. not aggressive at all and very friendly to my sailfin and PBT. when OST was first introduced the PBT gave him hell for 3 days, but since he wasn't fighting back the PBT let him go.

mcrist - i was asking how to clean the skimmer before and not selling it. someone offer to sell me one w/SCH, but the deal didn't go through.

tbittner - thanks but i have an extra 90gal with the same height for QT so no need to redo any plumbing or purchased another tank. yes the PBT is very aggressive and what makes it even worst that he was the first one in there. he fought pretty much everyone that enter the display even it wasn't a tang. my copperband butterfly got beat up very bad for 3 straight days then PBT finally let him go. now copperband is doing very well as most of the side fins where PBT chew him up has regenerated.

just finished plumbing both display overflow into skimmer. left overflow split to first fuge and skimmer, right overflow directly plumb into skimmer. i calculated about 800-900 gph going through skimmer, also readjusted to all flow to accommodate skimmer intake. water level is set to base of neck for first few days then i will readjust level again.

maybe its the special food mix given to him :D. feeding is 3 times daily and nori every other day. PBT is a model citizen only to sailfin. he gave my blue spotted kole a very hard time first 2 days, almost murdered my copperband this was crazy since they don't look like each other at all, OST has out grown him so no more playing around with him, chase the yellow tang around first day but did little damaged to tail, 4 regal tang were tiny 1.5" all he did was swim around them and didn't bother with them, but female pink margin wrasse was chasing the regal tang all over now this was really weird.

yeah, fish have personalities for sure. I would feed nori every day. I popped in a CBB a few months ago when the tank was already full of tangs and they barely gave it a second glance.

The poor yellow scopas got its butt kicked though and I was surprised it survived. It's living large now! :D

Man love the new pictures Bart. Love the orange shoulder tang. I went to my LFS yesterday and they had about 5-6 of the adult ones very nice size to about 5 inches. Man i wish my tank did have such a big problem with ich before because i would of loved to get one of them. I would of rather had them then my sailfin.

what brand was your qt tank that cracked? Also I tried to look up your food recipe, but I cant find it. Could you give it to us again?
Thanks
