Fish attacking clam, Help

Help everyone,
I am the same person that had a problem with the clown goby eating at my derasa. Now my darn copperbanded butterfly just began eating at my crocea(in the last few hours). Is there anything I can do, besides removing the copperbanded, to stop him from picking? He is not bothering the dersasa yet. Please advise with any suggestions. Weird thing is that they have lived together for like 2 months without a problem.

cut the top off of a clear 2L bottle(to make a dome) drill some holes in it for flow and place it over the clam

ultimately I think youll have to boot the copperband- unless you like the bottle in your tank. BTW thats a great idea

Will that be a temporary fix until I remove the BF, or will he loose interest in the clam?

most of the time when a fish starts to nip it wont stop

what if you place the clam in a different location

i ask b/c i have the same problem with a maroon clown (female)

The clam is attached to a very large piece of LR and I do not want to rip his foot off. I have been watching the BF and he is nipping at my snails too. I wonder if it is because he has eaten all the spagetti worms.

i have the same problem with the clam being attached to the bottom of the tank...

hopefully, someone has some sort of idea other than removing the fish, i hate to go fishing in my tank.........

Unfortunately, I think most would agre that once a fish starts behavior like that, it is very difficult to stop.
CB butterflies are known for decimating the tank of worms, and then turning on desireable inhabitants or starving to death. Try your hardest to get it eating something else and keep him fat on that.
With the clown, is the fish actually harming the clam, or just swimming into (using it as a surrogate host)? If it is the latter,, perhaps you can try to put a more tempting host (ie- Euphyllias).

Well, it took about 2 hours of rearranging the tank to get the bugger out, but he is bannished to the 24 nano until sentencing. I had fed him all day long, and he kept picking at the clams, and my zoos. I was worried he might start getting everything, so I put a divider into the tank, and after some convincing, he swam into my net. Thanks for the advice, hopefully the tangs and clownfish don't go rogue on me.
