fish breeding something in the air

lost about 30 of the babies so far,, i think it has to do with them being scooped from the display tank. the rest are doing good, all have nice silver bellies, i have a ton of rotifers floating around.

I just saw your message.

Egg development is highly dependent on temperature. It can take anywhere from 7-10 days. The warmer the temperature, the faster they develop.

that makes sense, its funny tho there are still about 10 eggs that the parents are caring for that havent hatched.

every day i loose a couple of the babies but now the losses are starting to be less, i still have a bunch living too many to count lol.

all have silver bellies, this is day 3-4 if i am correct i start with bbs around day 6-7 right?

There is usually a large enough population of rotifers where the clownfish don't devastate the population of them too bad. The smaller fish still can find them to eat.

But yes, you can't just make them go "cold turkey" when switching any foods. Including brine shrimp to crushed flake/pellets.

so just an update it kinda happened again lol

friday night i took the tile and put it in a hatch out tank i lost about 75% of the eggs this time tho i guess i have to perfect the air on the eggs (any tips pics, videos would be a big help) but i still have about 40 babies that i aim trying this batch and about 30 left syill alive from last batch,, with 4of the babies looking like snowflakes or some designer type.

then today sunday i went to feed my tank and sure enough both pairs of cardinals are holding eggs again.. the last batch didnt do well tumbling lets see how the males handle these eggs i will be keeping a close eye on them this time.
