??? you gonna elaborate on that????

I know they ALL arent incompatible with each other or a BB system.......

But if you have valid input specifically, im all ears

Sure.

1. I wouldnt mix any other wrasses with a six line in there..

2. Wrasses and a BB system?..Its like praire dogs and no dirt..

3. You could get away with multiple flasher wrasses..but i wouldnt trust a flame wrasse with other wrasses..

Hmmmm....
the only wrasse ive previously kept is a six line. Hes in my 225 now and he was originally intended to go in this tank but hes in his new home now.......

I have this same conversation going elsewhere as well. Im just looking for input and maybe a little education.

Anybody else have any input on that???

I notice 143gadgets has a couple different wrasses........

input 143???

The clown fairly and the flame i picked for purely looks.....the rest i picked for function.......of course if they are incompatible thats not very functional is it???

I would like some more input before i wipe the majority of that slate clean however...... ; )

Thanks for the reply clownreef. : )

Go to the "reef fish" section here on RC. Read the fairy wrasse photo library threads.......they are stickys at the top.

You'll get all the compatibility questions anwsered there.

Sunburst Anthias are a beautiful fish - I have a couple. I think you could use a few more fish in there as well. Stonies need some fish poop.

I disagree. Not all wrasses bury themselves in the sand at night. Some secrete a mucus layer and do very well in a BB tank. I have a Flame wrasse pair as well as a solar wrasse and all are in excellent health.

There is an entire species of wrasses that do not use sand at all.

Here is a picture of part of my lubbucks group. Best thing is they do great in groups even with mutiple males, they only grow to 3" and they are very active colorful fish.

thanks clockwork.......
do you have a place one could purchase several of them and possibly which ones exactly YOU have??

Even some input as to stocking considerations...i.e. any of them need to go in first??
Ive got time........i wont begin to stock this tank for a few weeks still.......and when i do start stocking it it can take as long as it needs......

I still have really no idea what exactly im going to throw in there but i do know i want lots of color and fairly small fish.........

See post above yours. As far as where to get them ? I got mine between 2 LFS. I would think live aquaria would have them . They are cheap also .

All of them get along I now have 10 but still have 10 more to add. They seem to do very well together and my other larger wrasses pay no mind too the lil guys . They are non aggressive so IMO they can go in just about any time . Best when purchased in groups if being kept in groups.

Here is a shot that shows the rest of my fish in my 180 BB sps

BTW the lubbucks helped me through my AEFW problem.

THANKS!!!

What do you feed them and how/how often??

I noticed they all say several times per day..........thats going to be tough for someone who is used to feeding the few fish they keep once a week....if at all

I feed once a day when I am on top of it but they find their own food trust me . Mine get fat and I don't feed them 3 times a day. They are hunters and are small.

Mine like mysiss and formula one . Oh and go nuts over artic pods.
