my sixline wrasse has disappeared! i looked into my rock work and took a turkey baster and blasted out the holes and cracks. nothing came out! could my bta have eaten it? i also looked in my rear three chambers and nothing! (i have a bc29) has anyone had a bta eat their fish?

Did you take a flashlight to your back chambers and empty them out? I've had fish hide down in there pretty good!

lol my fish jump into the back chambers every night!!! by now it comes to the surface for me to put it back in the main tank....it's like a game for my clown.

could he have a dug a spot under a rock that you havent found? Also do you have lids on the tank? I'd check all around the tank for a jumper if I were you

i have a lid on the tank.... the stock BC lid, wich is VERY tight. i fed lastnight and saw the wrasse, then fed this morning and didn't see it. wich is odd, becuase it's an agressive eater. it could have dug a spot, but...why wouldn't it come out to eat? so nobody suspects my bta?

its possible but less heard of, than say a carpet. I've had 3 six-lines that all went carpet surfing before I gave up on keeping them. I'd check the chambers and under the rockwork like previously suggested, since jumping sounds impossible in your case. Could he have succumbed to other causes and your clean up crew disposed of him?

i guess anything is possible, he was acting/feeding fine lastnight. it is possible my clean up crew got to him maybe the 2 golf ball sized nassarius snails got him lastnight. when i get home from work i'll have to check the rear chambers again, the center chamber has live rock rubble in it.(which i did quickly check through) i really hope i find him =(

I really think you'll find him in the back chambers... Empty them out (pump hose and everything - they like to hide behind those) and use a flashlight...

If he is back there - I find a long wooden spoon to get under him and guide him back up and over works well....

=( my sixline is nowhere to be found. i took everything out of the rear chambers, and no fish!!!! i guess i'll wait a few days to see if it come out of the rockwork then get another one. hopefully that one will make it. i'm so disappointed

i've heard that six lines will also completly bury them selves in the sand, i don't know why or anything but i've been told that. I wouldn't go turning over sand though. Just wait a few days. check water parems every day and see if you spot ammonia or something else that could show signs of death where you cant see.
