Fish eating Snowflake Eel?

I am also missing 4 mollies so I can't imagine if I have that many dead fish in my tank that my water would be clear and my levels would be staying put.

SFE is too small, you'd see evidence in his body if he did. Crabs are possible, they can clean up quite a bit. Think of the last time you saw your angel and when you broke the tank down.... Odds are it died from whatever and the crabs had enough time to dispose of his remains. ALSO, it is possible that the fish jumped out and another pet consumed him. Have you completely checked the "flop zone" around the tank?

In any case, the fish is gone....sorry.

I saw the angel saturday night and he was gone sunday night. The short period of time is what has got me stumped I wouldn't think the crabs or anything else could eat my angel without leaving any trace in one day.

Just a little detective work here...Do you have any other animals? If the angel is not burried under a rock somewhere (you mentioned there were some rocks you didnt check under), it is possible that the angel made a jump for it...flopped out, and say your cat or dog finshed the job. Another option would be that a rodent...mouse, rat, etc snatched it up.

As an owner of a snowflake, I dont believe the eel is the culprit.
